From July 27 to 29, the final of the 13th National University Students Metallographic Skills Competition was held in the Sports Center of Huanggang Normal University, sponsored by the Teaching Guidance Committee of Materials Specialties in Higher Education Schools of the Ministry of Education and undertaken by Huanggang Normal University.

The number of colleges and universities registered for this competition reached 571, and the number of participants in the preliminaries reached 400,488. After the preliminaries of 26 divisions, 1898 players from 531 colleges and universities entered the finals.

Before the start of the tournament, professional technical engineers from Sunny Instruments stayed up all night to set up the machines for the tournament and debug the status of the instruments in advance to ensure that each microscope was in the best working condition. During the tournament, Sunny Instruments was on standby at the site to solve any problems that might arise.
